The Suunto Cardiff Triathlon, which is now entering its fourth year, has gone from strength to strength since its inaugural race in 2015 and was named ‘Commercial Event of the Year’ at Welsh Triathlons annual awards in November.
Accompanying the hugely popular Olympic, Sprint and Super Sprint races, the Suunto Cardiff Triathlon will also be a 2018/19 ITU Sprint Age Group Qualifier, a televised Welsh Super Series race and a British Triathlon Championship race!
Tim Lloyd, Director at Always Aim High: ““It is fantastic that Suunto are extending their partnership to be our headline title partner for the Cardiff Triathlon 2018, this cements the event among the very best in Europe. The Amer Sports group is held in such high esteem in the sports industry, their collaboration with our Adventure Triathlon series and The Cardiff Triathlon extends our working relationship into its 8th year which is a real honour for us””
As well as being title sponsors, Suunto will also provide prizes for both the Cardiff Triathlon and the Adventure Series in 2018.
Suunto was born in Finland more than 80 years ago, when championship-level orienteer and keen outdoor enthusiast Tuomas Vohlonen invented the mass production method for the liquid filled compass. Since then, Suunto has been at the forefront of innovation, hand crafting premium sports watches, instruments and dive computers that have been tested in the world’s harshest conditions.
