Follow in the footsteps of the North Wales quarrymen on a 5km route that takes you round the historic Dinorwic Slate Quarry in Llanberis. The route oozes atmosphere as you run through the moody surroundings passing the relics of tunnels, terraces, inclined planes and abandoned machinery. There is no other run where history and industrial archeology meet such incredible views with the outlook stretching down to the lakes and across to Snowdon.
The climbs are tough but the reward is high - are you ready to put your trainers and take a step through history?
The Quarryman Run is part of Slateman10 a weekend of events to celebrate the 10th birthday of The Slateman and Always Aim High Events. This is the perfect event for someone who wants a taster of Slateman, those coming to support a triathlete who would like to get involved on a smaller scale, or an extra event for those competing in the triathlon, duathlon or swim events. The event will take place on the Saturday afternoon and lead in to our evening celebrations so whatever your reason for running, come and join the party!
